This sculpture is crafted from 8” x 12” rough sawn Douglass Fir Timber. The composition and joinery are inspired by post and beam systems used in traditional Japanese Architecture. The joinery, bronze pin and surface are hand carved and finished with natural oils. The piece, which stands close to 7 ft. tall, is engineered to balance independently and requires no glue or hardware.
