Fibonacci Series

This series of six sculptural tables uses proportional relationships found in nature known as the Fibonacci Sequence as a background for composing distinct formal elements. The planar surface acts as a constant while the amount and juxtaposition of linear and volumetric elements gradate in opposing directions across the six designs. The rates of change from one table to the next reflect the neighboring stages of growth found in the golden section, which is the basis for the famous spiral diagram of the Fibonacci Sequence.
